Founder-Aligned Capital
We structure investments to align incentives between founders, management, and our capital — prioritizing long-term value over short-term extraction.
Coppice Capital partners with exceptional management teams to acquire, transform, and grow businesses with lasting competitive advantage.
Coppice Capital is a private equity firm based in Eagle Mountain, Utah, focused on acquiring and growing businesses with durable competitive moats. We bring patient, long-term capital alongside hands-on operational expertise to every investment.
Our name reflects our philosophy — a coppice is a grove that grows stronger with each harvest cycle. We believe businesses, like forests, flourish when cultivated with intention, patience, and deep knowledge of the terrain.
We structure investments to align incentives between founders, management, and our capital — prioritizing long-term value over short-term extraction.
Beyond capital, we provide strategic, financial, and operational expertise to accelerate growth and build sustainable competitive advantages.
We take a long view on value creation — willing to hold, nurture, and grow businesses over multi-year cycles rather than chasing quick exits.
We focus on middle-market opportunities where our operational experience, sector knowledge, and capital structure create differentiated returns. Our thesis is built around businesses with strong unit economics, defensible market positions, and capable leadership teams.
We acquire established, cash-flowing businesses with $5M–$50M in revenue to serve as platforms for organic growth and bolt-on M&A strategies.
We partner with high-growth companies seeking growth capital and operational expertise to reach the next stage — without losing founder control.
We pursue corporate divestitures and succession-driven transitions where our capital and partnership model can unlock trapped value.
EBITDA-positive businesses with recurring revenue, strong customer retention, and identifiable paths to margin expansion or market expansion.
We work with management teams on revenue acceleration, operational efficiency, strategic M&A, and talent development to compound value over time.
Headquartered in Eagle Mountain, UT with a national investment mandate, we have particular depth in the Mountain West and Western US with select international reach.
